Renting in Courchevel

Rent a chalet or apartment in Courchevel with AEC Collection

Courchevel is not a single resort but a constellation of villages tiered across the mountainside, each bearing its altitude as its name and its own character. The 1850 concentrates the palaces, boutiques and fine dining, with immediate access to the slopes and the heliport nearby. Moriond, the 1650, stretches across a south-facing plateau, bright and family-oriented. Courchevel Village, the 1550, cultivates calm and proximity to the lifts, minutes from the bustle above. Lower down, Le Praz (1300m) has retained its stone chalets and lakeside setting at the foot of the forests, whilst La Tania (1400m), nestled among spruce and designed without cars, offers a gentler appeal.

The right neighbourhood depends on what you are seeking. A family with young skiers will enjoy the gentle, sunny slopes of Moriond or the quiet of the 1550. Those wanting to live at the heart of the village, dine steps away and reach the slopes on skis will aim for the 1850. Those drawn to authentic Savoyard character, Le Praz and La Tania connect to the entire domain by cable car without its bustle. Tell us how you spend your holidays and we will guide you to the right neighbourhood. Stays are booked by the week, the calendar and availability shown are current, and booking is done online.

The spirit of Courchevel

The mountain at its highest standard

For nearly eighty years, Courchevel has made refinement second nature, without ever denying the severity of its peaks.

The story begins in 1945, when the first ski tow rises at Moriond, then in 1946 with the birth of the resort, one of the very first conceived and designed for skiing in France. The decades that followed built its legend: a suspended airfield above the valley from the 1960s, a ski-jump at Le Praz that hosted the 1992 Games, and a 1850 that became, over time, the gastronomic capital of the altitude, where the world’s finest tables have gained elevation.

What strikes you is the coexistence of registers: the velvet of palaces and the stone of old farmhouses, jeweller windows and the silence of larches under snow. Courchevel is lived at multiple speeds, that of animated evenings and that of mornings where light grazes empty slopes. Our chalets and apartments are chosen for their location, views and direct access to the slopes, so that each stay keeps the promise of the place.

Throughout the year

Two seasons, one same altitude

Winter

Courchevel opens the door to the Trois Vallées, the world’s largest linked ski domain, born in 1971: 600km of slopes connecting between 1300m and 3230m, without once removing your skis. Courchevel’s mountainside alone offers approximately 150km of wide, immaculately groomed slopes, from the sunny plateau of Moriond ideal for beginners to more technical itineraries at higher elevations. La Saulire, an iconic peak, connects in minutes to the neighbouring Méribel valley and the rest of the domain. In the evening, après-ski ranges from the hushed bar of a 1850 palace to the Savoyard table of a quieter village.

Summer

From July through late summer, the mountain reveals itself differently. Hiking reigns, from family trails to grand Alpine panoramas, punctuated by high-altitude lakes such as Lac de la Rosière or Lac du Praz, ideal for swimming. Mountain-bike enthusiasts enjoy a network of trails and e-bike routes through forests and meadows, whilst the altitude golf course, paragliding and climbing complete the picture. The airfield continues to attract those curious to observe take-offs on its sloped runway.

Frequently asked questions

Renting in Courchevel: what we are asked

Which Courchevel village should I choose for a stay?

It depends on what you seek. The 1850 for life at the heart of the boutiques, restaurants and snow-front; Moriond (1650) for sunshine and a family setting; Courchevel Village (1550) for calm and proximity to the lifts; Le Praz (1300m) and La Tania (1400m) for authentic Savoyard charm and the appeal of the forests. All are connected to the same ski domain.

Must I stay at 1850 to make the most of the domain?

No. From each village, cable cars and lifts give access to Courchevel’s 150km of slopes and the entire Trois Vallées. Free shuttles also link the different levels to one another. You can stay in peace at Moriond, Le Praz or La Tania and ski everywhere during the day.

Is Courchevel worth a summer visit?

Yes, for those who love peaceful mountains. Summer opens the resort to hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, altitude golf and lake swimming, in landscapes of open meadows overlooking the Alps. Crowds ease, villages recover their calm, and the altitude guarantees fresh, bright days.
