Terms and Conditions of Sale

Terms applicable to contracts concluded from 27 December 2024.

The company AEC COLLECTION, a simplified joint-stock company with share capital of €1,000, registered in the Trade and Companies Register of Annecy under the number 920 303 583, with registered office at 38 chemin de Chez Janin, 74800 La Roche-sur-Foron, operates a website accessible via the address www.aec-collection.com (hereinafter the “Site”). This site markets high-end properties for seasonal furnished rental, intended for travellers seeking unique experiences. Intra-community VAT number: FR52920303583 The Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “Terms”) that follow define the conditions for booking rentals and services by the Client on the site.

Article 1, Subject of the Contract

AEC Collection is a property portal for seasonal furnished rentals. It has numerous charming properties placed at its disposal by private individuals and corporate owners with whom it has concluded separate specific contracts. The management of properties, subject of furnished rentals, is carried out directly by the owners or by a managing agent (hereinafter “the Manager”).

Article 1.2, Application

These general booking conditions apply automatically to any rental concluded between the Tenant and AEC Collection. The signature of a Seasonal Furnished Rental Agreement including the particular booking conditions implies unconditional acceptance of these general conditions.

Article 2, Booking and Payment Process

The booking of a property on the AEC Collection portal follows the following steps:
  1. Consultation of available properties and selection of a property
  2. Validation of dates and tariff conditions
  3. Payment of the deposit or the full amount according to the terms specified
  4. Sending of confirmation by email including the booking details
Payment of the balance must be made according to the deadlines specified in the contract. In the event of non-compliance with payment deadlines, the booking may be cancelled according to the conditions provided.

Article 2.2, Security Deposit

The Tenant’s attention is drawn to the fact that the Manager may request payment of a security deposit. AEC Collection undertakes to specify in the Seasonal Furnished Rental Agreement the amount of the security deposit to be paid to the Manager by the Tenant. This sum will be refunded as soon as proof is provided that:
  • the Tenant has paid all telephone, water and other consumption charges (unless these charges are included in the rental price);
  • there has been no damage;
  • no furniture has been soiled, removed or damaged.
The Manager reserves the right to retain from the security deposit any sum necessary for payment of consumption charges, cleaning, restoration of the property, replacement of furniture, etc. The terms and conditions for collection and return of this security deposit shall be agreed directly between the Manager and the Tenant. The Tenant expressly waives any recourse against AEC Collection in respect of any dispute concerning the security deposit.

Article 2.3, Cancellation and Modification Terms

The conditions for cancellation and modification are specified in each rental contract. The applicable fees are determined according to the date on which the request for cancellation or modification is received in relation to the date of commencement of the stay.

Article 2.4, Insurance

It is recommended that the Tenant take out cancellation and interruption of stay insurance, in particular ADAR insurance, which also covers rental risks. The Tenant may also provide a personal insurance certificate covering damages.

Article 2.5, Responsibility of Third-Party Service Providers

AEC Collection acts as an intermediary in the marketing of properties for rental and is in no way responsible for operational services related to concierge services, cleaning, maintenance or any other service provided on site. These services are the exclusive responsibility of the property managers or third-party service providers mandated by them. In the event of a breach or dissatisfaction relating to these services, the Tenant should address his complaint directly to the Manager. AEC Collection nevertheless undertakes to facilitate communication between the Tenant and the Manager to enable a swift resolution of the dispute, but cannot be held responsible for the consequences of such breaches.

Article 2.6, Confidentiality and Data Protection

AEC Collection complies with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and undertakes to protect the personal data of Tenants. Information collected is used solely for the processing of bookings and is never shared with third parties without explicit consent.

Article 2.7, Force Majeure

AEC Collection cannot be held responsible for force majeure events that may prevent the stay from taking place. These events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes or administrative decisions.

Article 2.8, Settlement of Disputes

In the event of a dispute, a mediation procedure will be proposed before any legal proceedings. These terms are governed by French law and any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Annecy.
