High mountains that have kept their village
Val d’Isère is a legend of world skiing, and yet it all begins with a village: stone, slate roofs, a baroque church, at 1850m altitude at the end of the Tarentaise valley.
Here, skiing is a culture. The Critérium de la Première Neige opens the world winter season each year on Bellevarde’s slope, and the domain linked with Tignes unfolds roughly 300km of runs down to the glaciers. Yet après-ski matters equally: old village streets, refined dining, peaceful hamlets.
Our properties are chosen for this balance: skiing on a grand scale, village living.
The long season, then the secret summer
Winter
From late November through early May, altitude makes Val d’Isère one of the longest seasons in the Alps. Grand skiing between Bellevarde, Solaise and Tignes, ski-to-door returns depending on location.
Summer
Legendary cycling passes, including nearby Iseran, Vanoise trails, peaceful village: low-season summer is intimate and magnificent. Connoisseurs return each year.
