Rent a villa or apartment in Calvi with AEC Collection
In Calvi, everything is read from the Genoese citadel, which overlooks the port and the long bay. Below, the Pinède beach unfolds its fine sand for several kilometres, in the shade of parasol pines, with its beach bars and tables with feet in the water: this is the bathing and family heart of the town, just steps from the port and Boulevard Wilson. To the west, the Revellata peninsula, wild and unspoilt, hides secluded coves such as Alga or Oscelluccia, reached by the coastal path from the lighthouse. Inland, Balagne lines up its perched villages and olive groves, between sea and mountains.
The right area depends on your stay. For a family wanting the beach on foot and the bustle of the port, Pinède and the surroundings of the old town are essential. For peace and wide-open spaces, choose a villa with pool in the heights, on the Revellata side or in the hinterland, with views over the bay. Those who live at the rhythm of heritage prefer proximity to the villages of Balagne. Tell us how you spend your holidays, we’ll point you to the right neighbourhood. Stays are booked by the week, the calendar and availabilities displayed are current, and booking is done online.

A citadel facing the open sea
In Calvi, Genoese stone and turquoise sea answer each other, between summer fervour and the gentleness of Balagne.
Built by the Genoese, the citadel watches over Calvi from its ochre ramparts. You climb through paved alleyways to the cathedral and viewpoints over the gulf, and local legend even places the birth of Christopher Columbus here. In summer, the port takes on a quiet elegance, terraces come alive, and the electronic nights that made the town’s summer reputation famous rub shoulders, in September, with the Encounters of Polyphonic Singing, born here in 1989.
Around it, Balagne composes one of the most beautiful hinterlands in Corsica: Sant’Antonino, perched at 500m and listed among the most beautiful villages in France, offers a 360° panorama; Pigna cultivates music and craftsmanship, with luthiers’ and ceramicists’ workshops; Corbara watches over its baroque churches. Between red granite coves and olive groves, the setting blends salt, maquis and stone. Our villas and apartments are chosen for their location, views and immediate proximity to the sea as well as to villages.
From blazing summer to peaceful Balagne
Height of summer
From June to September, the Pinède lives at the rhythm of swimming, paddleboarding and beach bars, whilst the coves of Revellata, Alga foremost, reward those who walk a little further. You alternate between sandy days, boat trips to the crystal-clear waters of the marine reserve, and lively evenings on the port. It is high season, luminous and vibrant, with the citadel as backdrop.
Shoulder season
In spring and autumn, the sea remains mild, around 19 to 22°C in May, June and September, and the crowds fade away. This is the time to walk the Revellata lighthouse path, explore the villages of Balagne, enjoy meals without waiting, and rediscover, in September, polyphonic singing in the citadel. Calvi reveals its most peaceful face.
Renting in Calvi: what we’re asked
Which neighbourhood to choose in Calvi?
For the beach and bustle, aim for Pinède and the port surroundings, at the foot of the citadel. For peace and a villa with pool, prefer the heights on the Revellata side or the Balagne hinterland, often with views over the bay. Heritage lovers and village enthusiasts will prefer to settle further inland. Tell us your priorities, we’ll adjust.
What are the most beautiful beaches and coves around Calvi?
Pinède beach, a long stretch of sand bordered by pines, remains the most accessible and family-friendly, directly from the port. For something wilder, the Revellata peninsula is home to secluded coves such as Alga, with golden sand ringed by red granite, or Oscelluccia, reached on foot via the coastal path or by boat.
What is the best time for a stay in Calvi?
High season, from June to September, offers warm water, swimming and the festive atmosphere of the port. For more peace, spring and early autumn keep the water mild, around 19 to 22°C in May, June and September, with far fewer crowds: it is ideal for exploring the Balagne hinterland, walking coastal paths and enjoying meals without waiting.
