In the heart of La Clusaz, facing the church steeple and the Aravis mountain range, this chalet is probably the finest in the massif. A former Savoyard farmhouse from the late eighteenth century, it has been entirely rebuilt in keeping with its history. Patinated ancient wood, stone walls and generous volumes define the space. At 680m2, it welcomes up to 14 people in understated luxury, designed for rare moments with family or friends.

Everything here is within walking distance. The village restaurants, bars and shops are minutes away, and the Patinoire and Beauregard cable cars depart 100m from the door. In the morning, you reach the slopes ski-in ski-out. In the evening, you return via the Cœur du Village piste to finish the day by the fire. In summer, the Aravis trails begin at the same spot and Lake Annecy is only around forty minutes’ drive away.

The view is the signature of the house. From the large panoramic terrace, furnished for lunch and aperitifs alike, the gaze sweeps from the church steeple across the village roofs to the Aravis ridge, dusted with snow in winter and green and mineral in summer. Several bedrooms open onto balconies, and even the pool looks out over the village through a large bay window.

Inside, every material has been chosen with care. Old wood, stone, veined marble, copper fittings, sculpted basins and bespoke lighting define the spaces. The living room is organised around a suspended central fireplace, topped with a gilded sculpture, between wide sofas where guests gather after skiing. The kitchen, in raw and matt black wood, unfolds around a large island facing the village. The dining room seats everyone at a long oval table and also serves for meetings thanks to its projection screen. A bar with a gleaming counter and a glass-fronted wine cellar extend the evenings.

The relaxation area is one of the highlights of a stay. The heated indoor pool stretches along a stone wall and metal sculpture, with loungers facing the view. Around it, a marble clad hammam, a light wood sauna and a massage room invite you to extend the day. An equipped fitness room, a cinema room and a games room for children complete the amenities, and outside, on the garden side, a jacuzzi awaits starlit evenings.

The seven bedrooms, served by a lift, each have their own bathroom. Double or twin beds according to requirements, mountain frescoes painted on wood, walk-in showers and soft bathrobes. The same refinement is found throughout. Two of them sit beneath a glass roof, open to the sky.

The chalet has a ski room and covered parking for seven cars. End-of-stay cleaning, towel changes mid-week and a welcome basket are included. A private chef, butler, driver, massages or daily cleaning can be arranged to make this stay a unique moment.
