4 bedroom apartment with a swimming pool in Calvi

At the end of a steep road that crosses a private hunting reserve, this house occupies an isolated location in the Balagne region, on the west coast of the island. The village of Lumio is a few minutes away, as are the beaches and shops of Calvi. Access is away from all hustle and bustle, in an environment where only the mountains and sea make up the horizon.

The stone and limestone construction has retained its original character, soberly enhanced by contemporary finishes. The main living room, warm around its fireplace and furnished with particular care, overlooks the pool and gardens below. The fitted kitchen opens onto a shaded terrace from which the sea and basin can be seen.

The bedrooms are distributed on the first floor, with a main bedroom with its own shower room and 2 bathrooms in total for all 4 bedrooms. An additional bed completes the offer, as does a sofa bed installed in the living room. The 9 by 4 metre pool is equipped with a safety alarm, a useful feature for family stays.

In the surrounding area, the Route des Artisans connects several characterful villages such as Pigna, Corbara or San Antonino, while Clos Colombu offers visits and tastings in Lumio itself. Further north stretches the wild beach of l’Ostriconi, and the Calanche de Piana can be discovered on an excursion to the south.

Without wifi connection but equipped with a stereo system, a DVD player and a library of films, the house lends itself to a deliberate break from everyday life. It suits a group of friends or an extended family seeking a private place, between sea and mountain, for days shaped by the pool and outdoor terraces.
